SINOPSIS:

Ignacio Carrillo has been a traveling musician most of his adult life, playing his accordion for anyone who will listen as he wanders from town to town. But after the death of his wife, Ignacio has fallen into a deep depression, and he decided to give up music. As he gives up his old way of life, Ignacio sets out on a journey to give his instrument back to the man who taught him to play many years before, but a young man named Fermin Morales invites himself along for the ride.

Ciro Guerra was born in Río de Oro (Cesar, Colombia) in 1981. His first two feature films, The Wandering Shadows (2004) and The Wind Journeys (2009) were shown at over 160 international film festivals, including Cannes, Toronto, San Sebastian, Locarno and Tribeca. The Wind Journeys premiered at Un Certain Regard at Cannes, and both films were chosen as Colombia’s official entries for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film. His third feature film, Embrace of the Serpent (2015; Berlinale Co-production market 2012) won the Art Cinema Award at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes 2015 and is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2016 Academy Awards.

SINOPSIS:

Through archive film footage, this short documentary reveals Bogotá's origins, transformation and growth, while making a reflection about its citizens.

Juan Andrés Rodriguez decided to get involved in the film industry after 10 years of working in the financial sector. He is associate producer of Paraíso Travel, 2009 selected in various film festivals, as well as Pequeñas Voces, 2010 which was part of the Venice Film Festival selection. Rodriguez studied Latin American cinema production in 2008  and Documentary filmmaking in 2010 in Cuba.
